Summer in the Library 2026 – “Friday Author Series”

The “Friday Author Series” is a collection of six literary events featuring authors who will present their latest works, ranging from fiction to non-fiction. These meetings, organized in collaboration with PromoCultura, will take place throughout June and July in the beautiful setting of the “Forini Lippi” park, located at Via Provinciale Lucchese 41.

“A Year in the Land of Kangaroos”

Following the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, an Italian family decides to leave their homeland for Australia, chasing the dream of a better life. Through the pages of this book, the author takes us on an intimate and adventurous journey, blending personal reflections, historical events, and daily anecdotes. The narrative begins in Italy, amidst the Tuscan hills, and follows the difficult process of emigration and the great leap toward Sydney, where the family must face new challenges, from cultural integration to adapting to a different world.

“A Year in the Land of Kangaroos” is a story of change, resilience, and personal growth, leading the reader to explore not only an exotic continent but also the true meaning of home, identity, and belonging.
