Emoción Ópera y Tango – Montecatini Opera Festival 2025

Organized by Ass. Culturale Il Parnaso at its XXVII high-profile international edition in the name of music and beauty.

A seemingly unusual pairing where the great tradition of Italian opera meets the rhythms of Argentine tango and folklore. Many are the relationships between these two worlds, geographically distant but so closely linked. Tango derives largely from Italian immigration to Argentina, and it is no coincidence that the greatest composers of this genre have evidently Italian surnames.
Famous pieces of opera will dialogue with historical and poignant tangos, in an interweaving of nostalgia and passion, seduction and sensuality.
