Book presentation “Giovanni Fattori”

we are pleased to invite you on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 4:30 p.m. in the Montecatini Terme Municipal Council Chamber for the presentation of the book “Giovanni Fattori” on the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of the Macchiaioli master.
The biography by Livorno-born author Anna Franchi in 1910 has recently been republished (Effigi, Arcidosso, 2025) by Elisabetta De Troja, who will speak during the conference, accompanied in the presentation by Professors Amedeo Bartolini and Antonio Checcacci.
In this essay, the writer tells the story of her friendship with the most representative painter of the Macchia revealing aspects that are not only artistic but private, personal : a grandiose and sorrowful Fattori, rebellious and brilliant.
