Summer at the Library! – “PARCO-LAB”: Young and Adult Explorers in the Library Park

“PARCOLAB” is a series of initiatives aimed at children aged 0 to 11, designed to build community, promote reading and creativity, and encourage the public to enjoy the free services offered by the city library. The project features a calendar of thirteen educational and creative workshops, divided by age group: from our youngest visitors, “Born to Read” (0–3 years), to preschool and primary school children (4–11 years).

The themes will range from emotions and growth to the spirit of discovery, the extraordinary capacity for creation, and the thrill of adventure. The events will take place throughout June, July, August, and September 2026, in the beautiful setting of the “Forini Lippi” park, located at Via Provinciale Lucchese 41. The workshops are curated by PromoCultura.

Little Sea Explorers

Colorful fish, seashells, waves, and sea creatures will accompany children on a journey to discover the ocean. Through readings, images, and tactile books, the little ones can explore the marine environment, learn about its inhabitants, and be swept away by the summer atmosphere.

Two sessions on the same morning:

10:00 AM – 10:45 AM: Children aged 0–18 months – First sensory explorations through images, colors, and touchable materials.
11:15 AM – 12:00 PM: Children aged 18–36 months – Stories and discoveries to learn about the sea, its animals, and its treasures.
