Leaving a mark is one of the oldest and deepest acts of the human experience<\/p>\n

A gesture that spans across history and transforms physical space into a narrative. This long history, made of traces, writings, and images in public spaces, lies at the heart of Giotto was Banksy\u2019s Grandfather. We are in this world to leave a mark<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Opening on June 28th, this major new exhibition traces the birth and evolution of urban art, from prehistoric origins to the key figures of the contemporary international scene. The exhibition is designed as an immersive journey spanning over 60,000 years of history, connecting the earliest forms of human expression with the visual languages that populate cities around the world today.<\/p>\n

The title of the exhibition evokes an invisible thread running through the centuries: while Banksy embodies street art globally today, Giotto already demonstrated how images could speak to everyone, transforming walls and public spaces into tools for collective communication.<\/p>\n

The exhibition unfolds across multiple sections, crafted as narrative environments that recreate the contexts, atmospheres, and transformations of urban language.<\/p>\n

Giotto was Banksy\u2019s Grandfather is not only a major historical overview but also a reflection on the relationship between the individual and public space, between personal expression and the collective dimension, restoring to urban art its cultural depth and historical continuity.<\/p>\n
