From Monday, February 23, until March 12<\/strong>, the exhibition will be open to the public at the Palazzo del Turismo. Created by the Municipal Administration of Montecatini Terme, in collaboration with the I.C. Galileo Chini and the Female Toponymy Association:<\/p>\n

“An exhibition path to better understand and celebrate the female figures who have contributed and continue to contribute decisively to scientific and technological progress.<\/em>“<\/p>\n

\u201cWomen of Science\u201d represents an important opportunity to raise awareness about women’s contributions to science and technology and the importance of overcoming gender stereotypes, promoting equal opportunities and new role models for younger generations.<\/p>\n

At the same time, within the school environment, the objective is also to promote the culture of STEM disciplines\u2014an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics\u2014sectors fundamental to the innovation and growth of every community. These four areas intertwine, offering essential tools to understand the contemporary world and face future challenges.<\/p>\n

Within the middle school classes of IC Chini, the two-year project developed specifically through the study of stories of female architects who became sources of inspiration for workshop activities, experiments, and design. The students\u2014who participated this morning in the official presentation in the Town Hall Council Chamber, also reading one of their essays\u2014were involved in paths of observation, analysis, and critical reflection, consolidating scientific and methodological skills.<\/p>\n

The initiative is part of a broader program to integrate activities, methodologies, and content aimed at developing STEM, digital, and innovation skills into the curricula of all school cycles, in addition to enhancing the multilingual skills of both students and teachers.<\/p>\n

The exhibition panels\u2014which are also part of the framework for International Women’s Day\u2014were curated and produced by the Female Toponymy Association, which was already an active part of the “Stories and Paths of Women for Montecatini” initiative last year on March 8th.<\/p>\n

At the end of this journey, it will be the students themselves who choose two personalities to whom currently unnamed locations in Montecatini will be dedicated.<\/p>\n
